Frank Gifford's children have honored their famous dad as tributes continue to pour in for the NFL Hall of Famer.
Cody, his 25-year-old son with Kathie Lee, tweeted a photo of an intimate family moment:
And his 22-year-old daughter, Cassidy posted a sweet photo on Instagram.
Very few people are blessed enough to call their father a legend, and an even smaller number are able to share that notion with the rest of the world. Today of all days I can genuinely say I am humbled by the outpour of love and support my family has received. Yesterday, I lost my best friend... His kindness was infectious, and his grace, beyond compare .. And despite the worldly passing of an incredible man, I undoubtedly know heaven gained one stud of an angel. Philippians 4:13 has never rung so true.. You were an unparalleled Giant in all sense of the word, Dad.. So keep doin' you up there, because no one does it better, and no one ever will.
Kathie Lee's Today show co-host Hoda Kotb has been comforting the family since Gifford passed away at the weekend.
She said on the show on Monday: “You know what Cody said when I went to his house on Sunday, after all this had happened? He said, ‘I just want to wish you a happy birthday.’ These kids are the most selfless people.”
Jenna Bush Hager sat in for Kathie Lee.
She said: “Look how they raised those children, that's what everybody wants, to raise people like that. So for Cassidy to write something that beautiful, it epitomizes the love they have in that family.”
While appearing on Good Morning America, Frank met and fell in love with Kathie Lee. She's 23 years his junior, but the age difference didn't seem to make a difference.
Peter Richmond co-wrote The Glory Game with Frank Gifford.
He said: “He's really proud of Kathie Lee. He would spend a lot of time telling me about what Kathie Lee was up to. He was so happy to sluff off the mantle of fame and say, ‘See what my wife does.’”
Frank Gifford leaves five children. He has three from a previous marriage, and two with Kathie Lee - Cassidy and Cody.
Fran Tarkenton and Frank Gifford appeared together on Monday Night Football. He told INSIDE EDITION: “He was a great father and a great friend.”
