Chris Shelley of Huntington Beach, California, says he was kicked off a flight from Dallas to Orange County.
A retired Marine from California says he was briefly removed from an American Airlines flight because of a complaint about his weight.
Chris Shelley, an engineer from Huntington Beach, was on board a flight to Orange County from Dallas when he was asked to step off the plane before take-off.
Shelley believes the problem arose because an elderly passenger in the aisle seat beside him complained to American Airlines employees.
"She was clearly not particularly happy, got up and left and went towards the front of the aircraft," Shelley told CBS Los Angeles.
The next thing he knew, the airline employees were asking him to leave the plane. And, says Shelley, they didn't ask nicely.
