This Student Wore the Same Shirt For All His School Pictures... and He Still Wears it at 34

Although he's now 34 years old, Justin Taylor can still fit into the shirt he wore for picture day all throughout middle and high school.

Taylor said that at that point in his life, he didn’t think it was a weird thing to do.

“I grew up in a small surf town," Taylor told InsideEdition.com. "All the cool kids were into surfing. I wanted all the cool surf clothes and my parents weren’t able to afford constantly buying them. My parents went out and got me a couple of cool shirts and I wore one of them in my yearbook photo.”

Taylor, who grew up in Palos Verdes, Calif., said the next year he wore the blue Billabong t-shirt again without thinking about it. By the third year — when he was in eighth grade — he decided to make it a tradition.

“My parents were annoyed in the beginning because they were like, ‘Why are we going to pay for the same photo?’ But it’s very typical me,” Taylor said. “I just thought it was something to do. I was a weird kid.”

Recently, while Taylor was going through the photo collection, he decided post the trip down memory lane on Twitter. It quickly went viral, garnering more than 33,000 likes and nearly 7,000 retweets.

Taylor, who now works for Nike Basketball, has grown out of his surfer phase, but still keeps the shirt in his pajama drawer – just in case.
