Shocking video of a bulldog attacking a baby sea lion has emerged and it's not just any dog. The dog belongs to the family of former congresswoman Gabby Giffords and her husband, ex-astronaut Mark Kelly.
The incident happened while the family was vacationing in Laguna Beach, California for spring break.
The baby sea lion in the video is just one of hundreds that have mysteriously beached themselves in Southern California in recent weeks.
The dog broke away from Gabby's step-daughter who was walking it. In the video, she is seen trying to wrestle the dog off the baby sea lion.
Finally, her hero dad takes over and yanks the dog off. Sadly, it was too late for the baby sea lion.
Mark Kelly retired from the astronaut corps in 2011. Gabby was the target of an assassination attempt in 2011. She resigned from Congress in 2012 to focus on her recovery.
