Inside the $75,000 Hotel Room That's Hosting Meghan Markle's Baby Shower

The penthouse suite at The Mark hotel is said to be the most expensive hotel room in America.

Meghan Markle is enjoying a lavish baby shower at an upscale New York City hotel, complete with a cotton candy machine and even a harpist.

The Duchess of Sussex's baby shower is being held at The Mark hotel in the Upper East Side as snow and rain whips New York, potentially scuppering her reported plans to return to London afterward.

The celebrations unfolded in the hotel's $75,000-a-night penthouse suite on Wednesday. The 10,000-square-foot room has five bedrooms, six bathrooms and five fireplaces.

The shower is being hosted by Serena Williams and Amal Clooney.

"CBS This Morning" host Gayle King is also a guest, alongside designer Misha Nonoo and Markus Anderson, who reportedly introduced Meghan to husband Prince Harry.

Daniel Martin, who did Meghan's makeup for her wedding, was on hand to head the glam squad, as was her best friend, stylist Jessica Mulroney.

All the guests will receive a special gift bag: a luxury suitcase from Away.

Meghan enjoyed a night on the town on Tuesday. She had dinner with friends, including Williams, Mulroney and her former "Suits" co-star Abigail Spencer, at the Polo Bar, a chic American restaurant owned by designer Ralph Lauren.

When Meghan arrived, there was a moment of drama when Anderson was pushed by a security guard, who apparently thought the friend was an annoying fan.

It is the first trip to New York for Meghan, who is due to give birth this spring, since her wedding to Harry last May.
