Melania Trump Once Showed Off Engagement Ring on Met Gala Red Carpet

Donald and Melania Trump used to be fixtures on the Met Gala red carpet, but times have changed. The president and first lady are no longer welcome, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, the mastermind behind the event, told James Corden on ‘The Late Late Show’ last October. Trump and his third wife attended every year from 2003 through 2012. The 2004 event was especially memorable, because it was the night Trump proposed to Melania. Melania showed off her giant 15-carat engagement ring on the red carpet.
