11-Year-Old Born Blind Impressively Skateboards Uses a Cane

Eleven-year-old Ryan Kennedy from New Jersey, who was born blind, loves to skateboard. “I really like going really, really fast,” he tells inside Edition Digital’s Leigh Scheps. Ryan’s been skateboarding at Shred Co in Fairfield for about two years with hour-long lessons once a week. A few years ago, a mobility specialist suggested the sport. At first Ryan’s mom was terrified to sign him up, but now she sees its impact. Here’s Ryan’s story.
