Scientists Use AI to Understand Conversations of Sperm Whales

Do sperm whales have their own language? Researchers at MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory tell CBS News they believe these mammals do communicate with each other through a series of snaps and pops, which they call codas. After an AI analysis of more than 8,000 of these codas, scientists say they believe the sounds form an alphabet to create words and phrases. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
