Teacher Acquitted of Sex With Student Says She Can Only Find Work as a Waitress

A high-school teacher says the only job she can find is at a local diner after she was unjustly accused of a terrible crime. Jill Lamontagne, a married mother of two, was a health teacher at Kennebunk High School in Maine. Last year, a 17-year-old student claimed that while she was tutoring him to improve his grades, they began a sexual relationship. She was forced to resign and criminally charged with 14 offenses. A jury found her not guilty on all counts, but the damage has been done.
