Singer Bonnie Tyler to Miss Out on Solar Eclipse

“Total Eclipse of the Heart” singer Bonnie Tyler will be on a plane during the cosmic event. The eclipse isn't just an obsession with astronomers and scientists. It's a phenomenon that pops up everywhere from movies to music. The eclipse appears in the opening sequence of Stanley Kubrick's 1968 masterpiece “2001: A Space Odyssey.” It also appears in the opening credits of “Star Trek: Voyager.” as the spaceship travels through outer space as an eclipse is occurring.
