In 2003, “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” became a pop culture phenomenon and helped spawn the term, “metrosexual.” Inside Edition took a look at the trend that saw men dressing better and taking care of themselves by going to the salon for facials and pedicures. Experts at the time, including ‘Queer Eye’ star Kyan Douglas, explained to Inside Edition how the trend was a way to improve self-esteem while looking your best. But while the procedures looked like fun, they were expensive.
