YouTube Shuts Down Fake Election Results on Channels Trying to Monetize

YouTube shut down live streams sharing fake presidential election results that were seen by thousands of people. Screenshots were taken by a twitter account of what was being shared on the platform throughout the day before polls across the country even closed. “This was a way for some of these channels to kind of capitalize on the interest,” CNET’s Roger Cheng explained.
