Clarence William Sheese, 50, was taken into custody in Clay County after the U.S. Marshals Service and Clay County Sheriff’s Office received a tip he was living at a home in the area.

An Ohio man accused of committing sex crimes against a child was arrested in Florida while wearing a T-shirt proclaiming him “Father of the Year,” police said.

Clarence William Sheese, 50, was taken into custody in Clay County after the U.S. Marshals Service and Clay County Sheriff’s Office received a tip he was living at a home in the area, officials said.

“We thought it was pretty clear, our community won’t tolerate criminal behavior,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement. “Especially concerning fugitives who flee from other states into Clay County because they are wanted for child sex crimes.

“Clarence Sheese, your decision to flee here was a bad one,” the office continued.

Sheese was wanted for two counts of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition stemming from a case out of Ohio, police said.

The details of that case were not immediately clear.

After being located, police confirmed Sheese's identity through his Ohio driver's license, authorities said. He went with law enforcement willingly, officials said.

Sheese remained in custody at the Clay County jail Wednesday, online records show. He is expected to be extradited to Ohio to face the charges.
