    High School Football Players Rush to Save Cat From Drowning in Storm Drain

    It was a group effort to save a cat caught in a storm drain, and according to the two high school football players who found the animal in despair, it was also a race against the clock. George Lampros and Max Sergio say they heard the cat's cries and knew they had to do something to help. They ran to Max's house nearby and got whatever they could find -- a crowbar to pry the gate open, a bucket to put the cat in, and rope to pull it up. After about 5 minutes, they were able to get the cat out.

    Fire Captain No Longer Needs Reading Glasses After Groundbreaking New Surgery

    Captain A.J. Martinez has a ton of glasses for various things he needs to do like look at a computer and has many spares for wherever he goes. He turned to Dr. Robert Lin for the newly approved KAMRA eye surgery that the doctor says will enable him to read without glasses. The San Diego firefighter says he was blindsided when he turned 50 years old and suddenly "woke up in the morning and had blurry vision and I couldn't figure it out." Martinez says he felt great after the procedure and had no pain.
