    Sneaky Octopus Slips Out of Aquarium Tank, Travels Down Drain Pipe To Sea

    Apparently nothing would soothe this octopus except the open seas. Inky, the octopus slipped right out of the aquarium and escaped to freedom in the ocean without even cover his tracks. Staff at New Zealand's National Aquarium noticed Inky missing but they found his suction cup tracks showing his route. He slipped through a small gap in the top of his home, traveled across a wet floor and squeezed his way into a 6-inch drain pipe, leading him back to the ocean. Inky joined the aquarium after he was rescued from a cray pot back in 2014.

A man reportedly seen in surveillance footage plucking the festive holiday laser lights from a Staten Island front yard recently was chastised by Community Education Council 31 President Michael Reilly on Facebook following the theft.

    Fire Captain No Longer Needs Reading Glasses After Groundbreaking New Surgery

    Captain A.J. Martinez has a ton of glasses for various things he needs to do like look at a computer and has many spares for wherever he goes. He turned to Dr. Robert Lin for the newly approved KAMRA eye surgery that the doctor says will enable him to read without glasses. The San Diego firefighter says he was blindsided when he turned 50 years old and suddenly "woke up in the morning and had blurry vision and I couldn't figure it out." Martinez says he felt great after the procedure and had no pain.
