    400 Exotic Turtles, Sugar Gliders, Birds and More Get Rescued From Hoarders Home

    Inside a suburban New York home, authorities discovered a safari of more than 400 exotic animals. The jungle raid was dubbed 'operation Noah's Ark' and one of the biggest critter seizures in the country. All kinds of animals from birds, sugar gliders and snapping turtles were living here in horrific conditions rather than in the wild. The SPCA says the homeowner Gary Gruber brought them in for what he claimed was for rehab.

A man reportedly seen in surveillance footage plucking the festive holiday laser lights from a Staten Island front yard recently was chastised by Community Education Council 31 President Michael Reilly on Facebook following the theft.

    Fire Captain No Longer Needs Reading Glasses After Groundbreaking New Surgery

    Captain A.J. Martinez has a ton of glasses for various things he needs to do like look at a computer and has many spares for wherever he goes. He turned to Dr. Robert Lin for the newly approved KAMRA eye surgery that the doctor says will enable him to read without glasses. The San Diego firefighter says he was blindsided when he turned 50 years old and suddenly "woke up in the morning and had blurry vision and I couldn't figure it out." Martinez says he felt great after the procedure and had no pain.
