'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Drops First Full Trailer

The anticipation just hit fever pitch.

That noise you just heard was the excitement of Star Wars fans freaking out.

The first full trailer for the highly-anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released today. Disney and Lucasfilms revealed the trailer at a panel discussion with director J.J. Abrams and producer Kathleen Kennedy to a packed crowd at a Star Wars Celebration Live event in Anaheim, CA.

J.J. Abrams takes the reigns following his huge success directing the Star Trek reboot.

The trailer incorporates iconic images from the world's best-known film franchise, including, R2D2, Darth Vader, Stormtroopers, a light saber, X-wing fighters and the Millennium Falcon.

The final moment ends on the most iconic image of all -- Han Solo with Chewbacca, saying, "We're home."

The film is set to be released in theaters December 18.
