Rosie O'Donnell's Ex Fights for Custody: 'I'm Not Afraid of Rosie Anymore'

Michelle Rounds is standing up to Rosie O'Donnell, saying she's not afraid of Rosie anymore.

"Honestly, I used to be afraid of Rosie but I'm not afraid of Rosie anymore!" Michelle Rounds exclaimed.

Defiant! Rosie O'Donnell's ex said she won't let Rosie's power and celebrity stop her from fighting for custody of their two year old daughter Dakota.

"I want what's best for Dakota and what's best for Dakota is to be with me. I am the better mother," Michelle said.

Cameras caught up with Michelle Rounds last night in L.A.  She married Rosie three years ago and now is suing for sole custody of Dakota.

Michelle is also speaking out about that controversial photo Rosie posted of Dakota with the caption: "Excuse me - Do I get a vote?"

"I thought it was an odd choice. It's like using her as a pawn. No, I wouldn't have done it," Michelle said.

Published reports quote Michelle called Rosie an absentee parent who drinks a bottle of wine a day and smokes weed. Michelle is denying she ever said that. Sort of.

Michelle commented, "All I know is that I didn't say that but the truth will prevail in court. The truth will come out."

Rosie's hitting back. Her rep tells us Michelle's comments are quote:  "Absurd"  and "A distorted perception of Michelle's reality.  It's sad in every way."

But Michelle said she's gearing up for the fight of her life. "I'm just a normal person. I'm just David versus Goliath."
