Miley Cyrus's Stoner Comment Stirs Controversy

When Miley Cyrus was given a birthday cake with an image of Bob Marley on it, her reaction stirred up quite a controversy. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.

It's the video of Miley Cyrus's 19th birthday party that is shocking America.

Cyrus was celebrating with a roomful of friends, including former Dancing with the Stars contestant Kelly Osbourne.

It happened at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on November 23. They got her a cake with reggae legend Bob Marley's likeness. Her friend Rumer Willis, daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, was standing next to her. Here is what Cyrus had to say:

"You know you're a stoner when friends make you a Bob Marley cake. You know you smoke way too much [blank] weed."

The iPad app TheDaily obtained the tape exclusively. On it you can also hear Kelly Osbourne referencing that other notorious video when Cyrus was seen smoking salvia, the hallucinogenic herb.

"I thought salvia was your problem, Miley?" said Osbourne.

That video was taken during Cyrus's 18th birthday party last year. It showed the star smoking salvia from a bong.

Cyrus's representatives says her crack about being a stoner was just a joke.

"The cake was a joke and Miley was being sarcastic. It is being completely taken out of context," said a spokesperson for Cyrus.

Kelly Osbourne also defended her pal on Twitter with this tweet:

"Let me make something very clear...The cake was...a joke!"

Then Osbourne took aim at the person who leaked the party video with this tweet:

"It makes me sick that Miley's so-called 'friends' would sell her out and lead people 2 believe she is someone that she is not! If Miley is not recording/filming/touring she works everyday how could she possibly do all that if she was a stoner!"
