More light has been shed on the final days leading up to the shocking death of Whitney Houston from those who were closest with her. INSIDE EDITION has the story.
Whitney Houston's sister-in-law, Patricia Houston is opening up to Oprah about what was going on in the singer's life in the days leading up to her death.
Oprah asked, "Did you think that drugs would end up taking her?"
"The handwriting was kind of on the wall. I'd be kidding myself if I said otherwise," answered Patricia.
In the interview, airing Sunday night on the Oprah Winfrey Network, Patricia, who was at a party with Whitney just two days before she died said she tried to protect her.
"I went with her that because I was concerned," said Patricia. She continued and said, "I was going as sister protector," said Patricia.
"Were you afraid of that day, February 11 showing up in your life? Were you afraid she'd be gone too soon?" asked Oprah.
"If things hadn't changed, but things were changing. I was afraid for other things. Lifestyle mostly," said Patricia.
Oprah asked, "What did you see?"
"I saw her chasing a dream. Looking for love in all the wrong places," said Patricia.
Also speaking out to Oprah is Whitney's daughter, Bobbi Kristina. But her interview is being kept under wraps until Sunday. Not even Oprah's best friend, CBS This Morning host Gayle King, could get her hands on it.
"She said, 'Listen, you know it is a very special interview and I don't want clips running all over the place," said King.
More details have emerged from someone who was in Whitney's hotel room at the Beverly Hilton when the singer's body was pulled from the bathtub.
Tiffanie Dixon was Whitney's hairstylist and spoke to the Today show about that tragic night.
"I saw that she was nonresponsive and I immediatly turned around to get help," said Dixon.
She told how she confronted Bobbi Kristina in the hallway outside the hotel room.
Dixon said, "She said, 'What's going on?' "
Today show's Tamron Hall asked "Was she in shock?"
Dixon responded, "Very much so."
