Imagine being invited to Mel Gibson's house for dinner and having him scream at you, "Who wants to eat? Who the (blank) wants to eat? Go have something to eat! Hurray!"
Mel Gibson was caught in a fury—his wild rage captured on tape when the famed screenwriter Joe Eszterhas and his family were guests at Gibson's mountain top compound in Costa Rica.
Gibson came unhinged when he and Eszterhas clashed over a movie script Eszterhas was working on.
On the recordings, Gibson also said, "Why don't I have the first draft of The Maccabees?..."What the (blank) have you been doing? I go to work, you're getting paid, I'm not."
Then Gibson's rage turned to ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
"I'm making money for a filthy little (blank) who takes advantage of me! Just like every mother (blank). So hurry the (blank) up."
"People are saying, 'Wow, okay, I used to like Mel Gibson. I liked his movies. This seems to reveal somebody who seems kind of sick, or seems to need help," said Waxman.
INSIDE EDITION spoke with Grigorieva's lawyer, Martin Garbus.
Garbus said, "He's a time bomb right now. He's a very sick guy. He's going to hurt somebody. I think it's no longer a question of whether he's sick. It's no longer a question of whether he can't control himself. The question is, is he going to hurt somebody?"
As the tape was leaked, Gibson was coincidently making a rare appearance in public. He got a warm welcome in Austin, Texas, at the premiere of his latest movie, the low-budget drama Get The Gringo in which his character is imprisoned in Mexico.
Gibson's career definitely seems to be heading downhill. His last movie The Beaver bombed, and Get The Gringo is heading straight to Direct TV.
Whatever happens with the movie, let's hope you're not invited to Gibson's house for dinner.
