Justin Bieber kissed Selena Gomez in front of millions when they were caught on the secret Kiss Cam.
"That was probably the most humiliating thing that's ever happened to me," Gomez told Ryan Seacrest on his LA radio show
The Kiss Cam loves to catch celebrities making out. Like Hollywood power couple Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, or when Zac Efron kissed his then girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens.
But the Kiss Cam's mainstay are regular couples, turning them into celebrities for 15 minutes of fame. INSIDE EDITION wondered how the LA Lakers actually find cute couples to put on the JumboTron night after night.
So the Lakers gave INSIDE EDITION exclusive access behind the scenes at LA's Staples Center to learn the secrets of the Kiss Cam.
Lakers Director of Game Operations Lisa Estrada explained what they look for.
"We really look for a good camera angle first and then obviously the camera crew looks for couples who look interesting," said Estrada.
There are four cameras dedicated to the Kiss Cam.
First they check out the front row where celebrities like Ashton Kutcher and Jack Black sit, making sure not to embarrass celebs who came with a mystery date.
By the start of the second period, the couples are selected.
Sonny and Cher's "I Got You Babe" plays in the background as the couples are ready for their close ups.
So what was their 15 seconds of fame like?
"I had no idea, I was like, 'What?'" said one Kiss Cam star.
"When I saw it, I was like 'Whoa!'" said another.
It's another slam dunk for the Kiss Cam.
"You never know, that camera might be on you, you might be on Kiss Cam," said Estrada.
