Brooke Burke Battling Thyroid Cancer

INSIDE EDITION is learning more about Dancing with the Stars co-host, Brooke Burke-Charvet's battle with thyroid cancer. Doctor's discovered the mother of four had a tiny nodule on her thyroid that has been diagnosed as cancerous.  

She said in a YouTube video, “I had like seven needles stuck into my neck one day to get these results.”

It turns out that Brooke is not alone. More than 640,00 Americans have been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. It's three times more common in women than men.

In the YouTube video broke posted, she appears remarkably strong. She said, “Doctors say this is a good kind of cancer to have, ‘Good cancer,’ that sounds so crazy.”  

At 41, broke seems to be the picture of health. She was recently featured on the covers of Shape and Fitness magazines, and she has a series of workout DVD's. That's why the cancer diagnosis has been so shocking.

She said, “I feel really good, I've never felt better, that's what so crazy about this whole thing.”
