Leah Remini's sister is giving a shocking account of the King of Queens star's break from Scientology, and the religion's poster boy, Tom Cruise.

Leah's older sister, Nicole called into a talk radio station in Minnesota, where she lives and showed all the brashness that made her sister famous.

Nicole said, "When you start questioning things that are connected to Tom, things get a little crazy. I was going to wait for Leah to come out but I told her, 'You know what? I'm your sister. I'm your older sister. And like when we were in school I would confront anybody who messed with my younger sister."

Nicole is confirming reports that Leah's problems with the church started at the wedding of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes in 2006. According to her sister, Leah asked Scientology leader David Miscavige the whereabouts of his wife, Shelly, who hasn't been seen in public in years.

"If she's not anywhere weird, produce her! You know what I mean? Just produce her. Why is this so wacky?" said Nicole.

A Scientology spokeperson told People magazine that Shelly Miscavige is a "private person" and denies that she is being hidden.

Nicole Remini says Leah also got in trouble for questioning Cruise's relationship with Miscavige.

"Leah had brought up to a very, very close friend of hers out of the house, like in private, 'You know, I just think that it is really weird how involved Tom is with the upper levels of the church.' And somebody actually wrote a report on her. Her best friend wrote a report on her that she questioned it. Well then Leah got pulled in."

Nicole claims all of Leah's friends from her 30 years in Scientology have abandoned her.

"They literally have pulled in these people and told them they had to choose between relationships with my sister and mother, or the church. I'm going to tell you, these people chose the church," said Nicole.

A spokesperson for Scientology calls the comments by Leah Remini's sister "absurd," pointing out that she left the church herself back in 2005 and has no personal knowledge of the events she describes during her interview.
