Oprah Winfrey Calls for an End to Racism

On the subject of racism, Oprah's recent remark about racists dying has people talking. INSIDE EDITION has the details.

During a recent interview in London, Oprah Winfrey was asked to offer her opinions on race relations in America.

She suggested that racism itself would eventually die out.

“There are still generations of older people who were born and bred and marinated in it, in that prejudice and racism, and they just have to die,” said Winfrey.

When asked whether she thinks President Obama is treated differently because of his race, Winfrey answered, “Just the level of disrespect, when the senator yelled out ‘You’re a liar!’ Remember that? I think there is a real disrespect for the office that occurs, in some cases and maybe even many cases, because he is African American.”

Winfrey's remarks come at one of the lowest points in President Obama’s time in office.

Yesterday, the President apologized for the healthcare rollout debacle. His poll numbers have plummeted. Merely 39% of Americans now approve of the job he's doing as the President.
