Did Biggest Loser Contestant Lose Too Much Weight?

There were tears of joy on live TV from the winner of The Biggest Loser, but her tiny frame has everyone asking, did The Biggest Loser lose too much?

Twenty-four-year-old Rachel Frederickson shrunk from 260 pounds to 105 pounds. That's a loss of 59.62 percent of her entire body weight. Just look at her shrunken body next to her old self.

Even the show's trainers, Bob Harper and Jillian Michael, looked shocked about Rachel's appearance when she stepped on stage for the big reveal. A close-up showed just how thin Rachel's arms are and her face was sunken and gaunt.

Twitter erupted with reaction. One person tweeted: "So disappointed in Rachel. Just unbelievable how far she took her weight loss with so many young girls watching her every move."

"This is unhealthy and creepy," tweeted another.

Yet another person tweeted: "Rachel just looks so sickly."

INSIDE EDITION's Diane McInerney asked Dr. Ira Sacker, an eating disorders expert, "A lot of folks say that she looks anorexic. Did she go too far with her weight loss?"

"It certainly looks like a distinct possibility. When a person loses a tremendous amount of weight like that very rapidly, what tends to happen is there are changes in brain chemistry. And when there are changes in brain chemistry, oftentimes it unleashes almost like an obsessive-compulsive disorder in which the person just keeps on wanting to lose more weight," said Dr. Sacker.

Rachel spoke with reporters today in a conference call where she was asked over and over again if she lost too much weight.

Rachel's said, "I think that with my journey I truly found the person I want to be."

Rachel was a competitive swimmer from Minnesota who gave up a full college scholarship to follow her boyfriend to Europe. When they broke up, her broken heart led her to overeat and she gained more than 100 pounds.

On The Biggest Loser, Rachel said, "To move forward in this life and know that I can take control and do anything that I want, it's just been amazing."
