Does NBC Tell Celebs To Only Do 'Tonight Show'?

Reports are surfacing that NBC is telling celebs if they want to be on The Tonight Show, they can't appear on any other morning or late night shows on competing networks. INSIDE EDITION has more.

Is NBC playing hardball when it comes to Jimmy Fallon?

The network is reportedly informing celebrities if they appear on a morning or late night show on ABC or CBS, they can forget about getting on The Tonight Show.

NBC apparently believes Jimmy Fallon's ratings success gives them big-time bargaining power.

Mary Murphy of the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism told INSIDE EDITION, "This is the way that television works today. The corporate giants control the show. So, if you appear on an NBC show, you can appear on all the NBC shows."

A source told INSIDE EDITION that Beyonce and Katy Perry have both been caught in the tug of war.

Murphy said, "This is never going to work. It might have worked when Jay Leno first started out on The Tonight Show. But it is definitely not going to work now."

This isn't the first time the late night battle has erupted into the open. Murphy said, "Leno paid a huge price for trying to make celebrities only come to his show. And Fallon will pay exactly the same price if he continues to do this."
