One year after the death of Michael Jackson, his children are reportedly adjusting and growing up, just like normal kids. INSIDE EDITION has the latest.
We're learning new details about the private lives of Michael Jackson's kids, one year after their father's shocking death.
Their days are filled with "schoolwork, karate and swimming," according to their grandmother and legal guardian Katherine Jackson. She tells the London Mirror that Prince, Paris and Blanket spend a lot of time with their cousins, but, they "don't have any friends."
Linda Deutsch of the Associated Press said, "Right now their primary contact are with relatives."
The King of Pop's children continue to be home schooled at the family compound. A room has been set aside, and turned into a classroom where a tutor conducts classes. But come fall, Jackson's oldest son, Prince, is going to a private school.
"He is ready to branch out and have a more socialized experience," according to Katherine's lawyer.
Deutsch said, "They are going to go on a summer vacation with their grandmother across the country. They're going to go to Disney World. They're going to go the Smithsonian. They're going to go to educational places that are also fun."
Katherine says the three kids love action movies, are avid karate students, and talk about their father all the time, even spending hours listening to his greatest hits. 12-year-old Paris has even turned her room into a shrine to her dad.
Katherine is quoted as saying, "She went into a closet and she brought out seven or eight pictures of Michael. She told me, 'I want daddy hanging in my room.' So she goes to bed looking at him and wakes up looking at him."
Katherine says Paris is talented just like her famous father, saying, "She's a good artist. She plays the piano and she wants to be an actress."
And Prince wants to be a film producer. Home videos leaked on YouTube are believed to show Paris and Blanket as the stars in Prince's homemade movies.
"They are full of fun. They play pranks. They're very lively. They're certainly not moping around. They're having some good times and they really are the life of the household," said Deutsch.
Blanket is described as "totally cute and personable. A very bright little boy."
All three children have been reportedly spending time with Debbie Rowe, Prince and Paris's biological mother.
Deutsch said, "Everybody I've talked to says they are normal kids. They're just adjusting, they're growing up and they will carry on the Michael Jackson legacy."
