Kathy Griffin Doesn't Hold Back At Daytime Emmys

The Daytime Emmy Awards could go down as the rudest awards show ever, as host Kathy Griffin let loose with some colorful zingers. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.

It could have been the rudest award show ever!

With comedienne Kathy Griiffin hosting the Daytime Emmy Awards, you've got to expect a lot of in-your-face attitude.

"If you think this is a normal awards show- Okay, clap if you have ever been here before- and get off your phone sir. Get off your **** phone," said Griffin pointing to a man in the audience.

The award show was streamed live online rather than on TV, so the expletives were flying all around the ballroom.

When The Young and the Restless took home six awards, including best daytime drama, Griffin decided she'd had enough when the soap opera's producer went on and on.

"Oh for God's sake with your pride of ownership!" said Griffin. "Wrap it up lady, wrap it up!"

Producer Jill Farren Phelps looked shocked.

"If you name your **** dog, I swear to God, that's where I draw the line," said Griffin, criticizing the producer for her lengthy speech.

The show itself is getting terrible reviews, with the Washington Post calling it "A top-to-bottom train wreck" and "a complete hot mess."

Katie Couric even got booed when she was a no-show for her tie with Dr. Oz for Best Talk Show Host. Griffin gave Couric the thumbs down.

"I'm sure she's thrilled," said Griffin.

But Couric had a good excuse for being absent. She married her longtime boyfriend, Wall Street financier John Molner, in New York.

Couric  posted her wedding  photo on Twitter with the caption, "So excited to make my debut as Mrs. John Molner!"

Maybe it's a good thing Couric didn't show up at the rudest Emmys ever.
