Emmy Nominations Signal Change in TV Viewing

Game of Thrones swept the Emmy nominations, leading the competition with 19 nods.
The nominations were revealed before dawn in Hollywood. They were announced by Mindy Kaling and Carson Daly.

Breaking Bad isn't on the air anymore, but it got 16 nominations including "Best Actor" for Bryan Cranston.

Fresh off his Oscar win, Matthew McConaughey is the favorite for "Best Actor" in HBO's True Detective. He’s up against his co-star, Woody Harrelson.

The big story out of the Emmy nominations is good news for Netflix, with major nominations in both the comedy category and the drama category with Orange Is the New Black and House of Cards.

Orange Is the New Black, which streams on Netflix, got 12 nominations.

Pete Hammond of Deadline.com told INSIDE EDITION, “That really signals a sea change in the way people are watching television and the way voters are voting for it at the Emmys.”
