Military Women Take Over Fashion Week Catwalk

INSIDE EDITION was behind-the-scenes at Fashion Week where some military women took over the catwalk.

Kelly Smith looks like a natural gliding down the runway.

Smith is usually clad in military fatigues, serving her country. But today she's one of 15 military women turned supermodel.

Before the big show the ladies learned how to walk like a pro from Victoria's Secret supermodel Hilary Rhoda.

Rhoda commented, "I'm here to help them feel beautiful, give them a few tips on how to walk the runways."

There was a flurry of activity backstage, as legendary makeup artist Bobbi Brown got them all glammed up.

"I've been doing Fashion Week for so many years, but honestly nothing is as thrilling as this," said Brown.

Leslie Nicole Smith commented, "I have nervous butterflies and they are like in overdrive right now."

Participant Ashley Brokop said, "I've never done anything like this, I think it's amazing."

"I'm a little nervous, but more excited." said Army vet Letrice Titus.

Titus even got a fitting from fashion designer Carmen Marc Valvo.

Valvo said, "It's so sexy," after fitting Titus.

She sure looked Army fierce when she hit the runway.

A powerful display of true girl power!
