Stephen Collins' Ex-Wife: 'He Needs Help'

Following Stephen Collins' stunning confession, his estranged wife is breaking her silence. INSIDE EDITION explains.

The estranged wife of disgraced actor Stephen Collins speaks out.

As the Collins confessional tour continues, actress Faye Grant just issued this statement: "I sincerely hope Stephen gets the help he needs."

Collins, whose interview with Yahoo! Global News anchor Katie Couric airs Friday on Yahoo! News and ABC’s 20/20, shares disturbing details about the way he molested a girl who had come to stay with him and his first wife in 1973.

In the interview, Couric asked, "Tell us what happened?"

He said, "My wife had gone to sleep. She and I were alone together. I took her hand and moved it in such a way that she was touching me inappropriately."

On The View, Couric said the actor who played a minister on 7th Heaven realizes his high-profile career as an actor is over.

She said, "This girl was ten years old. And obviously, it's incredibly upsetting and disturbing. I don't think he doesn't have any hopes to rehabilitate his image and get a big role. He felt liberated, telling his truth."

Collins claims that he has been in constant therapy for more than two decades and has not had an urge to abuse young girls since then.
