Chelsea Clinton's Wedding Was One to Remember

INSIDE EDITION reports from Rhinebeck, New York where Chelsea Clinton's lavish wedding was the event of the year.

INSIDE EDITION's Diane McInerney reports from outside the swanky Pierre hotel in New York City where newlyweds Chelsea Clinton and Mark Mezvinsky are said to have spent the first night of their top secret honeymoon.  And everyone is still talking about Chelsea's lavish weekend wedding—the dress, the food, the first dance.  McInerney was in Rhinebeck, New York for all the excitement.

It's a super secret honeymoon for Chelsea Clinton and her new husband Mark Mezvinsky!  The newlywed's plans are so private, even Chelsea didn't know the destination.  It was reportedly a surprise planned by her new hubby.

After their night in the honeymoon suite at the posh Pierre hotel in New York City, the happy couple is rumored to be heading on a two week trip to Europe.

And we're learning new details from Chelsea and Marks majestic "I do's." From the flowers to the lighting, it was a magical evening.  No detail was overlooked.

Amy Argetsinger, author of The Reliable Source said, "Chelsea and Mark had opportunity to kind of laugh a little bit throughout the vows.  They were just beaming.  They were really really happy."

The former first daughter was the definition of a blushing bride in a strapless ivory silk organza gown with a crystal encrusted belt, custom designed by Vera Wang.

Chelsea changed into a slinkier Vera Wang dress for her first dance with her new husband.

The beaming couple performed a choreographed routine to the classic At Last, which the Obama's famously danced to at his inaugural ball.

"It was like watching Dancing With the Stars,"  one guest told People magazine.  "They definitely took lessons."

Former President Bill Clinton was visibly emotional walking Chelsea down the aisle.  He also shared a special dance with his daughter to Frank Sinatra's The Way You Look Tonight.

And the father of the bride also gave a humorous, yet heartfelt toast.

"He was just beaming at her.  He said that ever since Chelsea has been old enough to formulate a thought he has been outnumbered in his household two to one, and that his big hope for this wedding day is that from now on the playing field will be leveled because he's got a son now," said Argetsinger.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is winning rave reviews for her colorful fashion choices.  The mother of the bride donned a fuchsia Oscar de la Renta gown with flowers detailing the full skirt.  And she chose a flowy printed green dress for the festive rehearsal dinner.

Buses shuttled the 400 guests to the sprawling Astor Court mansion.  There were only a few famous faces in the crowd, including former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, and longtime Clinton supporters Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen.

"I can only imagine that they feel like we did when our daughter got married...joy.  It's the best thing in the world," said Danson.

Guest dined on farm fresh salad, risotto, beef short ribs and grilled fish.

Surrounded by family and friends, Chelsea and Mark danced the night away until 4:30 in the morning!

Chelsea's uncle Roger Clinton says the wedding of the year was a fitting occasion for this very special couple.

"They deserve each other because they are both wonderful people," said Roger Clinton.
