Watch This Hollywood Stuntman Survive Real Life Disaster at Sea as Massive Wave Hits His Boat

'I don't know about you boys, but I'm getting out.'

A man went overboard - but how?

One guy went flying as a massive wave slammed into his boat - and as his buddy hung on for dear life on one side, he was airborne on the other.

Mark Healey told INSIDE EDITION he made the leap of faith when he saw the giant wave about to pound the boat off the coast of California.

"I hit the water pretty hard," he said.

INSIDE EDITION's Steven Fabian asked, "This thing looks like an accident but you did this on purpose, why?"

Healey responded, "Well, we all knew that we had to brace for this wave. A lot of people break a lot of bones and equipment and I still had my wet suit on from surfing so I was like, 'I don't know about you boys, but I'm getting out.'"

Healey said after the wave passes, he bobbed to the surface thanks to his life vest. He was banged up, but lucky to be alive.

He added, "I actually reached the surface like Red October."

Healey is a surfer dude and part-time Hollywood stuntman, so he kind of knew what he was doing.

Hey - better surf than sorry.
