"We're learning more about the police dash cam video that recorded Walter Scott being stopped for a broken tail light just minutes before he was shot dead," Trent said.
If you listen closely, you can hear a song playing in Slager's patrol car. It's called "What it's like", by a rap singer named Everlast. The lyrics read, "He pulled out his chrome .45, talked some (blank) and wound up dead."
In the video, Scott was asked "Can I see your license, registration and insurance card?"
The cop seemed polite and professional. "The reason for the stop is your third brake light's out," he explained.
"Oh, okay," Scott replied.
A few minutes later, Scott suddenly ran off.
Then, comes the unforgettable cell phone video capturing Slager firing those eight shots.
