It's looking grim for Bobbi Kristina Brown.
Whitney Houston's only child is now in hospice care. The damage to her brain is apparently irreversible.
Her aunt, Pat Houston. arrived at hospice in Atlanta on Thursday. A guard posted at the front entrance escorted her in. “She is in God's hands now,” she said in a statement.
Another family source told People magazine that Brown iss "skin and bones now. She has been losing weight. She's been losing hair. She has no muscle tone at all. There has been some worry that her organs are shutting down."
ABC News chief health and medical editor, Dr. Richard Besser, told INSIDE EDITION: "You don't make a move for hospice care if you think someone is going to be cured, or recover."
"If someone's moved to hospice, it means they have a life-limiting illness and that the expectation is that they're not going to live for more than six months," he said.
The sad news comes with the filing of a lawsuit claiming Brown’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, beat her and schemed to cheat her out of her inheritance.
Appearing on Dr. Phil earlier this year, Gordon appeared inconsolable after Bobbi Kristina was found face-down in a bathtub in the townhouse they shared. But according to the lawsuit, filed by Brown's court-appointed conservator, Gordon "misrepresented" himself as her husband in order to "control" and 'defraud' her.
The lawsuit accuses Gordon of taking $11,000 from Brown's bank account after she slipped into a coma.
Gordon also committed acts of "domestic violence," "punching her in the face, knocking out a front tooth and dragging her upstairs by her hair," according to the lawsuit.
It states the couple had a "loud argument" the day she was found in the bathtub, "her mouth swollen and another tooth knocked out."
"He beat her. He abused her. It’s time for him to be held accountable," Ian Halperin, the author of the just-released book, Whitney and Bobbi Kristina, told INSIDE EDITION.
He said Gordon could face prosecution. "The police are taking this exgtrmeely serious.and the people in the house that day are going to be held accountable, and one of them is Nick Gordon," he said.
