David Beckham has fired back at his critics after he came under fire for putting a pacifier in his four-year-old daughter, Harper Seven's mouth.
The soccer star posted on Instagram page on Monday:
Why do people feel they have the right to criticize a parent about their own children without having any facts ?? Everybody who has children knows that when they aren't feeling well or have a fever you do what comforts them best and most of the time it's a pacifier so those who criticize think twice about what you say about other people's children because actually you have no right to criticize me as a parent ...
It comes after Harper Seven, his four-year-old daughter with wife Victoria, was spotted out with her dad in Hollywood over the weekend. She was using a pacifier, which raised some eyebrows.
One person tweeted: "Isn't Harper Beckham too old to be using a pacifier at age 4?"
Another said: "As Much As I Like Mr. Beckham.. To See 4-Year-Old Harper Still Using A Pacifier Is Quite Disturbing."
Experts say by age four, kids should have outgrown pacifiers.
Dr. Jennifer Zuckerman of City Kids Dentist told INSIDE EDITION: "A four-year-old using a pacifier is not recommended. It can cause problems with the way the baby teeth and the permanent teeth develop. It can also cause problems in speech delay and it can also cause a high increase in ear infections."
