Woman Gets Arrested For Trying to Break IN to Jail
While most inmates want to break out of jail, one woman has been arrested for allegedly trying to break in.
Talisha Gwen McCann, 42, of Franklin County, Alabama, was released from the jail on probation at the end of July, but two weeks later, she allegedly tried to sneak back in.
Sheriff Shannon Oliver told WAFF that McCann was trying to deliver prescription drugs and other contraband to inmates.
When she was busted, she was carrying two gallon-size bags of tobacco, a cellphone and “a small amount of sub Oxone strips,” Oliver said.
Video of the attempted break-in was released by the jail. The surveillance video shows a person using bolt cutters to get through the jail’s fence.
McCann was held on multiple criminal counts, including possession of a burglar’s tools and possession of a controlled substance.
