Her company has an entire fleet around the world, moving thousands of people a year.

The multi-million dollar business has its roots in the early 1980's when Mary-Ellen's two sons began moving furniture part-time after school.

“My two boys started moving people. I was a single mom and they thought they could help out,” she told INSIDE EDITION.

When they went off to college, she had a brilliant idea. “I had $350 in the bank. It was all the money I ever saved in my life. I bought an old, beat-up moving truck. That was the beginning.”

Two Men and a Truck was born. She called up her sons and told them how much fun she was having, and brainstormed about how they could grow the business.

Sheets drew the logo herself. “A lady came up to me and said, ‘You are so smart to have a child make your logo,’” she said.

“Look at me, I didn't know one thing about bookkeeping, moving, state laws, franchising. I didn't know anything,” she said.

The company took off and it keeps growing. “We will do over half a million moves this year alone,” said one of her sons.

The company has a unique corporate culture. There's the “grandma rule,” for example. “We treat every customer as though it was your grandma,” she said.

Sheets loves what she's built. "Just persevere," she said.
