Husband Plays the Trumpet to Greet His Wife of 33 Years at the Airport

Ed Zamora, a retired band director, surprised his wife at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas after 2 weeks apart.

A video showing a devoted husband playing the trumpet for his wife after two weeks apart is warming hearts across the world.

Ed Zamora, a retired band director, went to the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas to meet his wife of 33 years, Melody, as she returned from a trip to Spain. He greeted her by playing Louis Armstrong's classic, What a Wonderful World.

The two embraced before Ed handed his wife a bouquet of flowers.

"And that's what you call, a wonderful welcome!" staff wrote on the airport's Facebook page as they shared the video. "Ed & Melody, thanks for sharing your special moment with us! And welcome home Mrs. Zamora!"

His wife said she was touched by the kind gesture.

"One of the takeaways is still be open to surprises after 33 years of marriage," she told Today. "It was a treasure that will always stay with me."

The airport shared a video of the reunion, which has been liked more than 1,000 times.
