Tim Tebow may no longer be on the field but he's still brightening one fan's day.
The former quarterback walked into 13-year-old Nathaniel Nelson’s hospital room at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida unannounced on Tuesday.
The teen, who is being treated for Acute Myeloid Leukemia, was overcome with emotion seeing his idol close up and began sobbing.
Nathaniel’s hospital bed was completely covered in merchandise from the University of Florida - Tebow's alma mater - and he was even wearing the team’s t-shirt.
But the former NFL star also didn’t just stop by for a quick visit - the two spent time playing video games and laughing together.
So AWESOME to watch Tim Tebow surprise our new friend Nathaniel at Wolfson Children's Hospital! What an incredible young man!Posted by Tim Tebow Foundation on Tuesday, September 29, 2015
