Tim Tebow's Surprise Hospital Visit Leaves Teenage Fan in Tears

The former quarterback walked into 13-year-old Nathaniel Nelson's hospital room unannounced on Tuesday.

Tim Tebow may no longer be on the field but he's still brightening one fan's day.

The former quarterback walked into 13-year-old Nathaniel Nelson’s hospital room at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida unannounced on Tuesday.

The teen, who is being treated for Acute Myeloid Leukemia, was overcome with emotion seeing his idol close up and began sobbing.

Nathaniel’s hospital bed was completely covered in merchandise from the University of Florida - Tebow's alma mater - and he was even wearing the team’s t-shirt.

But the former NFL star also didn’t just stop by for a quick visit - the two spent time playing video games and laughing together.

The 13-year-old was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in August. The type of cancer usually appears in people over the age of 65.
