The incident has sparked outrage among the local police union, while the Fraternal Order of Police called it “unacceptable and discouraging.”

The officer reportedly told the union that when he visited the coffee chain on Friday, the slogan was written on the cup and the employee was rude to him.

Following the 2013 acquittal of George Zimmerman and last year’s deaths of Eric Garner and Michael Brown, the slogan has gained worldwide attention.

Lieutenant Roger Aspinall, a member of the police union, told WLNE-TV that the slogan is anti-police and the movement “Condones violence against police.”

The police union says “all lives matter.”

A spokesperson for the Dunkin’ Brand Group says the franchise apologized to the officer and counseled the employee, according to reports.
