Human Remains Found in Abandoned Connecticut House During Search For Missing Couple
The remains of two bodies have been found in an abandoned house about 10 miles from where a Connecticut couple vanished in August, authorities said Friday.
Medical examiners will determine if the remains belong to Jeffrey and Jeanette Navin, who haven’t been seen since Aug. 4, according to the Connecticut State Police.
Their pickup truck was found five days later, with a smashed window, in a commuter parking lot near the Merritt Parkway, authorities said.
Their son, 27-year-old Kyle Navin, has been charged with a weapons offense, authorities said, but has not been arrested in connection with his missing parents. His home in Bridgeport was searched in August, according to the state police. It was not clear whether he has been arraigned in the weapons case.
The body parts were found in a Weston home that hadn’t been lived in for 10 years, authorities said. The uninhabited residence is near the couple’s house in Easton.
