Police in Indianapolis have arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with the home invasion murder of a pastor's pregnant wife.
Larry Taylor was booked on a preliminary murder charge in Amanda Blackburn's killing according to a statement released Monday by Blackburn's widower, Pastor Davey Blackburn.
"I was extremely relieved to get the news of the arrest made last night of Amanda’s killer. The investigators have assured me they have a solidly-built case to ensure justice is levied and the process is expedited," Blackburn wrote.
Amanda Blackburn, 28, was 13 weeks pregnant on Nov. 10 when police say Taylor entered her home along with two other men, Jalen Watson and Diano Gordan.
Police believe Watson and Gordan left with Blackburn's ATM card to withdraw cash as Taylor allegedly fatally shot her in the head.
Davey Blackburn was at the gym during the murder. The couples' 15-month-old son was in the home during the incident but was not harmed.
Watson and Gordan were picked up on unrelated warrants. In a press conference held Monday afternoon, authorities revealed that Watson would be charged as a co-conspirator with Taylor and that both would face multiple charges including murder.
All three suspects were expected to be charged in at least three more burglaries, Fox News reports.
According to the Associated Press, police believe the suspects may have seen Mr. Blackburn leave for the gym while burglarizing a nearby home.
It was not clear whether Taylor had an attorney as of Monday morning. Messages left with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department weren't immediately returned.
