Bride Still Wearing Wedding Dress Chows Down on Hamburger at Hockey Game

Jumbotron footage of a newlywed bride scarfing down a cheeseburger at a Minnesota Wild hockey game is going viral.

A Jumbotron caught a new bride in Minnesota as she chowed down on a hamburger while still in her wedding gown and video of the touching moment, if unusual, is sending hockey lovers' hearts soaring.

Erica Skuta and Lewis Blake attended the Minnesota Wild game against the Dallas Stars as their “wedding finale” on Saturday and footage of Skuta scarfing her cheeseburger was posted to Facebook by Fox Sports North.

It has since been viewed more than 20,000 times.

Blake, a New Zealand resident, told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune he had hoped to get on the Jumbotron by holding up a sign that read: “I flew 8,044 miles from New Zealand to be at this game (and to get married).”

But it ended up being his bride--and her wedding dress--that attracted a cameraman's attention.

“I was kind of terrified when I first learned I was eating a cheeseburger on TV,” the former Minnesota resident told the Star-Tribune. “The response has been insane.”

Comments on the video have been largely positive and include "She's a total keeper" and "Canadian Honeymoon."

The couple, who live in New Zealand, are--not surprisingly--planning on a rugged honeymoon during which they'll sightsee as they hike north through Minnesota to the Canadian border.
