A man has been charged with a hate crime after surveillance video shows him cursing and yelling about Muslims.
Witnesses say the 26-year-old man was drunk as he entered a restaurant in Midtown in New York City and started shouting at the men behind the counters, demanding to know their religions.
When the assailant was thrown out, he came back in and began throwing chairs through the glass food counter. Surveillance footage also captured him hitting a cashier.
Cops charged the man with a hate crime.
Following the attack in San Bernardino, hate crimes against Muslims have been making headlines.
Earlier this week, a 53-year-old store owner from the Astoria section of Queens, New York was badly beaten by a customer because he's Muslim. His attacker was also charged with a hate crime.
In another incident, a woman who worked at the Department of Corrections in San Francisco saw several Muslim men praying in a park and lashed out at them.
"The people you tortured are going to be in eternity in heaven!" she shouted. "You are very deceived by Satan. Your mind has been taken over, brainwashed. And you have nothing but hate, nothing but hate."
The man who filmed the attack, Rasheed Albeshari, told INSIDE EDITION: "I felt so angry... It's the definition of a hate crime."
Police say the incident is under investigation and the woman could be charged with a hate crime.
