Professor Who Cared for Student's Kids So She Could Take Exam: 'It's Just Part of the Job'

Monica Romero told INSIDE EDITION she was in a bind after her babysitter left her in the lurch.

A history professor who was photographed babysitting his student's kids so she could take her final exam said it was no big deal.

"I didn't think about it," Dr. Daniel Krebs told INSIDE EDITION. "It’s just part of the job.”

Monica Romero, a student at the University Of Louisville, needed to take a final exam but her babysitter canceled, leaving no one to look after five-year-old Mikayla and four-year-old Marcus.

"I was like 'How am I going to get through this?'" she said.

She had no choice but to take them to class with her.

Monica left the kids playing video games on a couch outside her classroom but they wouldn't stay put. That's when Dr. Krebs stepped in.

“I said: ‘Hey Monica, you focus on the test and I’ll take care of the kids,’” he declared.

Monica's friend took the picture that has gone viral.

“Mikayla started crawling all over me,” he said. “We were playing a computer game and she was directing me from the top telling me what to do.”

During the hour as Monica took her test, Dr. Krebs kept the kids entertained and he had fun too, admitting: “Instead of being bored watching students take a test, I got to play with two kids and that was very entertaining.”
