Patrick Rempe, 24, was arrested after he got caught in the fence’s razor wire, according to reports.

The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office wrote about what happened on Facebook, posting video of the incident.

Rempe admitted to deputies that he was high on a drug known as “Flakka” and that he wanted to visit his friends who were locked up in the jail, officials said.

"Flakka" is a synthetic drug that is similar to bath salts and is an aggressive stimulant.

Indian River County Sheriff Deryl Loar said: "This is what drugs do to you. Flakka is poisoning our youth. Fortunately, none of our deputies were injured and our facility wasn't compromised."

Sheriff's department officials estimate the damage to be at least $5,000.

He is currently under investigation and faces charges of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, battery on a law enforcement officer, three counts of felony criminal mischief, leaving the scene of a crash with property damage and driving under the influence. He may face additional charges in the future, officials said.

Rempe is being held without bond, which likely gives him plenty of time to hang with the friends he was attempting to visit.
