A tiny orphaned rhino who was too small to play with his own kind has found a friend more his size: a goat.

Kabelo was taken into The Rhino Orphanage in South Africa after being rescued from the wilderness, but his caretakers deemed him too vulnerable to play with other orphaned rhinos.

Instead, they matched him with a goat named Lydia... although their friendship got off to a rocky start.

Initially the pair were distant, according to the orphanage, but eventually they started to warm to each other and now their friendship is strong.

The unlikely duo now likes taking morning walks together, according to their carers.
