Priest Arrested for Using Grindr to Meet Gay Teens: Reports An Italian priest has been arrested for allegedly using Grindr to hook up with gay teens, according to reports.

An Italian priest has been arrested after he allegedly used the gay dating app Grindr to meet teenage boys, according to Italian media outlets.

Antonello Tropea, 44, was taken into custody after police found him in a car with a teenager in a secluded spot, authorities said.

The priest had been under investigation by police, who allegedly determined he was using the American gay dating app to meet teenagers, according to Agence France-Presse. He had sex with the boys in his car and his rectory in Calabria, authorities said. 

Tropea's bishop allegedly failed to investigate complaints about the priest and told his underling to not speak to police, according to the reports.

It was not clear whether the bishop faced charges.

The priest allegedly told officers who found him and the teen in his car that he was a physical education teacher, the reports said, according to the Telegraph.
